Safety Management Group is seeking a Data Analyst - Workplace Health and Safety (Remote)
The Data Analyst analyzes, processes, and models data to create actionable plans to measure and improve our client’s organizational culture regarding health and safety with their contractors. The role will analyze the impact of behavioral and organizational changes, support data-driven decision-making by business leaders, and facilitate the development of innovative products that improve safety outcomes.
Overview of Job Responsibilities
- Provide safety services to our clients.
- Engage in the evolution of data reporting based on the strategic objective of being a data-oriented and analytics-driven company.
- Defining data, integration, and Domo and Power BI needs, recommending solutions, strategy, and governance.
- Building a detailed understanding of Client data sources.
- Developing and driving adoption of best practices for building analyses and usage of the Domo environment.
- Contribute to designing and implementing data infrastructure and pipelines for machine learning and analytics products.
- Obtain, merge, analyze, and report data using SQL, statistics software, and data visualization tools.
- Apply various statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large and complex data sets related to safety engagement, safety leadership, and other behavioral factors.
- Apply data visualization tools to large data sets to enhance data understanding
- Develop organizational knowledge of key data sources and be a valuable resource to associates who use Domo best to pursue company objectives.
- Keep up to date on the industry's best practices in data and advanced reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science/Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or related fields
- Experience in/knowledge of databases
- 1-3 years combined as a data engineer or data analyst
- More than 1 year of experience in data analysis and business intelligence
- Experience in/knowledge of computer coding/languages
- Demonstrated experience developing data reporting and visualization tools using Microsoft Power BI, Domo, Tableau, etc. (i.e., Domo Dashboards)
- Experience with safety programs or safety management systems.
- Familiarity with machine learning tools and natural language processing
Physical Demands of the job may include
- Wearing personal protective gear correctly when in the field
- Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders
- Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period
- Working in extreme weather
- Being exposed to loud noises
