Custom Software Systems Inc. (CSS) is seeking a motivated Data Analyst with strong expertise in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access to join our team. This role involves creating and updating detailed reports and templates, developing macros for data cleansing and processing, and providing end-user training. The position is 100% remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team supporting operational excellence. 

Required experience with the following is needed: Microsoft Excel (Office 365) with Macros and advanced formulas, Microsoft Access for database development, QuickBooks with macro integration, SQL for queries and data manipulation, UNIX Shell Scripts, PowerShell, Oracle Forms and Reports, Section 508 Compliance Tools, AWS Infrastructure (optional), GitLab or Azure DevOps for CI/CD, NIST 800-53 Standards for FISMA compliance, Agile methodologies, data migration and cleaning processes, report automation, virtual training platforms, documentation standards, database design, and cloud infrastructure knowledge (optional). 

Responsibilities 

  • Design and create reports and databases using Microsoft Excel (Office 365) to ensure functionality on individual computer hard drives. 
  • Develop and implement macros for data cleansing and processing to automate report and summary worksheet population. 
  • Consolidate and update multiple reports for streamlined operations, ensuring preapproval for any modifications. 
  • Prepare final reports that are printable in PDF or hard copy format. 
  • Recreate and enhance various templates and reports, such as daily spot cotton quotations, monthly/annual cotton price statistics, user-fee billing and analysis, and budget operating plan formulations. 
  • Ensure seamless migration of data into Excel worksheets and apply cleaning macros as needed. 
  • Provide virtual training sessions, recorded for future reference, on creating and troubleshooting macros and formulas. 
  • Develop detailed instruction sheets that comply with Section 508 requirements for accessibility. 
  • Offer support in transferring data to QuickBooks templates using custom macros 

Required Qualifications 

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, including advanced proficiency in formulas, macros, and data visualization tools. 
  • Proven expertise in creating and maintaining Microsoft Access databases. 
  • Strong ability to build data cleansing macros and automate processes for efficiency. 
  • Skilled in training end-users on creating and utilizing Excel reports and tools. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work within specified timelines. 

Education 

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Desired Qualifications 

  • Experience in data migration and integration into Excel worksheets. 
  • Familiarity with developing reports for agricultural and administrative divisions, including cotton price statistics and user-fee billing analysis.

  • Background in creating training materials and conducting virtual training sessions.
