Waste Management - Shaping a Greener, More Sustainable Future
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Waste Service Team at Wiltshire Council as a Waste Officer focusing on data analysis and service performance.
Our Waste Service oversees the crucial task of delivering statutory waste management services for Wiltshire Council. This includes managing waste disposal, diverting waste from landfill, and supporting the delivery of several waste management contracts. The service also operates household recycling centres, manages kerbside collection and recycling services, and promotes the council's waste prevention and minimisation strategies.
As a Waste Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing service data, accurately reporting performance, budget forecasting and trend analysis, all supported by informed interpretation of the data. You will provide essential technical support and data analysis to inform business decisions, lead service development projects, as well as ensuring compliance with information requests and deadlines.
We are seeking a candidate highly proficient in the use of Excel, with excellent attention to detail alongside an inquisitive mind who enjoys interpreting and analysing complex data sets. The ability to identify trends and forecasts and produce technical reports for a range of stakeholders to evidence their assessments is essential.
Please note that interviews for this role will involve an Excel test.
