Overview






OBJECTIVE:

 

The Sr. Business Intelligence Developer will be a key resource in ensuring the delivery of timely and accurate business intelligence solutions to our internal business partners. Keys to this position are the ability to excel in the design, development, implementation, and support of mission-critical enterprise reports built using PowerBI, HTML or other visualization platforms. The candidate must be able to communicate professionally across the continuum, including clinical partners and IT colleagues. An excellent blend of analytical, technical and communication skills in a team-based environment is essential for this role.









Responsibilities






  • Meets with end users to gain a better understanding of the business needs and collaboratively identify best practice solutions and define report requirements.
  • Have a clear understanding of the data and end user workflows to validate accurate results and reconcile discrepancies when necessary.
  • Builds data ETL processes to facilitate meaningful and efficient reporting.
  • Develops reports, dashboards, data marts, and extracts for end users.
  • Train end users on the usage of reports and BI reporting software.
  • Monitor the performance of reports and work collaboratively with stakeholders to improve financial, clinical or operational metrics using a data driven approach.
  • Participates in process improvements efforts to collaboratively reduce manual efforts using a blend of creative and technical solutions.
  • Document the development of all analyses, dashboards, reports, and processes that are shared with stakeholders.
  • Implements innovative solutions to ingest files such as enrollment, claims and other external data points into the enterprise data warehouse.
  • Designs and documents the general functional requirements and detailed technical specifications.
  • Validate model system reports and identify advanced reporting needs with consumers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and partner with executive leadership, finance and operational management teams and analytical colleagues.
  • Document main points, issues, and key decisions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.








Qualifications






  • Technical Skills: Advanced level understanding of SQL (creating or modifying SP, data-marts and ETL )
  • 5-7+ years of experience in healthcare reporting and analyses
  • 5+ years developing and maintaining ETL processes
  • Deep knowledge and experience in clinical analyses and medical terminologies

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND LICENSE:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Mathematics, statistics or Data Analysis
  • Strong healthcare financial reporting, preferrable in a FQHC type organization
  • Experience navigating NextGen EMR, and the associated tables
  • Healthcare informatics experience highly preferred.
  • Experience using Microsoft tools; PowerApps, PowerAutomate, VisualStudio.
