Job Description
Description: Lead transformation of Core ETL processes from Oracle Stored Procedures to AWS Serverless Technologies. Requires in-depth knowledge of modern programming languages, web technologies, backend infrastructure, databases, and AWS cloud services. Must be willing to come onsite 3 days a week in Nashville. This is a long term contract opportunity.
Responsibilities/skills:
• Develop technical designs and solutions with product manager, business analyst, and solutions architect
• Make decisions on development strategies and solutions
• Assess and remediate development issues
• Participate in code reviews
• Write efficient, testable code and build reusable components
• Stay current with industry best practices and trends
• Promote collaboration and teamwork
Qualifications:
• 5+ years Data Engineer experience including API, Database, Glue, and PySpark
• Strong object-oriented programming and design skills
• Experience with modern database technologies and AWS applications
• Unit and integration testing experience
• Knowledge of development lifecycle phases and cloud-based solution delivery
• AWS Serverless, Cloud Security, DevOps, Cloud Migration, Containers
• SQL/NOSQL (Redshift, Aurora Postgres), Glue, PySpark, S3, Event Bridge, Step Functions, Lambda, CloudWatch, CloudFront, AWS DMS, Python
• AWS Iceberg Database knowledge a plus
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience designing high-volume serverless solutions in AWS
