About the Senior Data Analyst - Dropbox: 

MarketStar is seeking a Sr. Data Analyst to work with sales teams and clients in the Direct Sales world. The Sr. Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in empowering the sales team with actionable insights, automated reporting, and advanced analytics. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical rigor, and a deep understanding of sales processes to drive decision-making and improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about leveraging data to achieve business objectives. 

The successful candidate is proficient in data analysis, developing and analyzing reporting in SFDC and expert at navigating Google Sheets, Excel, Tableau, and Microsoft Power BI. We are looking for an individual that can communicate & present ideas with clarity, offer new perspectives based on previous experience, and influence growth in production and performance at a global level through these initiatives – and ultimately aid the guidance and delivery against all KPIs set by the client.  

 

Location: Utah Remote - This role may periodically require in-office attendance in our Ogden HQ, typically about once a quarter. 

 

What Will You Do? 

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated reporting solutions using Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, and SQL. 

  • Create and enhance reports for business reviews (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly) and vendor performance analysis. 

  • Generate monthly sales forecasts and provide insights to align with business objectives. 

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses into sales performance, including conversion rates and lead quality. 

  • Analyze customer sentiment data to inform strategic decisions. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven insights that support initiatives. 

  • Design experiments to measure the impact of sales and marketing strategies and assess ROI. 

  • Develop methodologies to evaluate campaign effectiveness and provide actionable recommendations. 

  • Present findings using clear narratives and engaging data visualizations. 

  • Ensure data quality through robust data governance and management practices. 

  • Partner with IT and Data Engineering to optimize data pipelines and workflows. 

  • Train and support stakeholders in using dashboards and interpreting data effectively. 

 

What Will You Need to Succeed? 

  • Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, and Snowflake/Databricks for data visualization and analysis. 

  • 5 years’ experience working in complex databases 

  • Strong SQL skills to query and join multiple datasets 

  • 1-2 years of demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce (SFDC) and its data structure.  

  • Experience with statistical tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus. 

  • Expertise in advanced analytics, including conversion rate optimization, lead scoring, and customer sentiment analysis. 

  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Strong understanding of sales metrics, forecasting, and performance reporting. 

  • Experience designing scalable data models and handling unclean data for accurate reporting. 

  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills to effectively present data. 

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Knowledge of Snowflake and Databricks architecture, including performance optimization and best practices.
