In-Person Interview: After a screening call with TQC, we’ll invite a final number of candidates to our office for an in-person interview or set up a live Zoom meeting with the hiring manager(s).

Pre-employment requirements include an employment application, standardized testing, including aptitude or skill-set test, a drug screen, a credit screen and a criminal background check.


Position Summary: 

The Senior Data Analyst is responsible for combining advanced analytical skills & data storytelling with exceptional business and entrepreneurial acumen. This position requires a strong ability to create, prove and execute new initiatives across departments within the organization. This position will support a culture of data-driven decision-making by standardizing access to data, ensuring the quality of data, reporting and tools, and supporting stakeholders with guidance on how to use them. The position requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong willingness to take on new challenges with enthusiasm and accountability for the business’s performance. Demonstrate a proven ability to handle multiple tasks and meet firm deadlines, have creative and innovative problem-solving skills, be self-motivated and proactive, and demonstrate composure under pressure. Responsible for turning data into insights and insights into actionable business objectives.


Essential Functions:

  • Drives and owns research and data analysis projects, drawing actionable insights from raw data and information to help further the Credit Union’s strategic goals and objectives. 
  • Responsible for statistical and econometric modeling, performing quantitative analysis and applying technological data mining and analysis business objectives.
  • Creates analytical reports for the department heads, management, and key stakeholders. These reports must be clear, succinct, convincing, informative, engaging, unambiguous, and uniquely tailored to suit different audiences.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and establish strong and meaningful work relationships with team members, department heads/management, and key stakeholders; demonstrates excellent communication skills.
  • Consults with the organization in driving solid business processes, which in turn will drive quality data. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of the nuances of how business processes work across the entire organization is a must.
  • Self-manages a large number of projects and plays an interactive role in effectively executing duties as outlined.
  • Responsible for being proactive in keeping our project management system up to date along with the other team members.
  • Responsible for data visualization and data storytelling; i.e. take a large amount of complex data and drill down to the most important information. Guide stakeholders to engage and understand what the data is indicating.

Knowledge, Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Economics, Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Math, Finance, Accounting, or related field required.
  • Experience: Minimum five years’ experience in an Analyst role (i.e. Data, Business, Financial), SQL programming skills (T-SQL Preferred) and applying math/statistics to data modelling required. Two years’ recent experience working with Power BI. Experience working in a fast paced and startup like environment where agility is expected, working in cloud technologies (Azure Preferred), experience in Python and R preferred. Experience with Credit Unions and/or financial institutions is highly preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to manage multiple efforts concurrently, to organize others and lead productive meetings. Possess the ability to work autonomously, to function as a change agent and capability to be innovative and agile. Have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to offer solutions. Proven knowledge of related emerging technologies and tools, possess organizational and time management skills. Effective with collaboration of tasks across the business and technical teams as well as the ability to interface with key customers from all functional areas. Able to work quickly and under tight delivery deadlines with focus on details and demonstrated ability to produce high quality deliverables. Possess a strong business acumen, with ability to assist in development of business requirements. Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with management, colleagues, and business users.
  • Travel Required: 5%-10% travel required.
  • Hours Required: Exempt employee with a work schedule of Monday through Friday, generally 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours may fluctuate moderately to accommodate business needs. This position is eligible for the credit union's telecommute policy.
