Are you passionate about turning data into actionable insights? Join our Business Performance team as a Senior Data Analyst and help shape the future of BI across our organisation.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Work on multiple assignments with diverse stakeholders across the business.
  • Design, implement, and deliver BI dashboards and automated reporting tools using Power BI and Databricks.
  • Support the rollout of our new data platform and maintain existing BI assets.
  • Perform ad-hoc data analysis and reporting to uncover business insights.
  • Create compelling visualisations and dashboards to communicate findings.
  • Engage with stakeholders to identify challenges and opportunities in data reporting.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and source system teams to uplift and refactor data assets.
  • Apply best practices and governance in BI design and development.
  • Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Lead small project teams and coordinate subject matter experts as directed.
  • Develop data engineering/science skills to enable machine learning and predictive analysis.
  • Provide advice and guidance to colleagues as needed.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years’ commercial experience designing, developing, and deploying BI solutions in an enterprise environment (Power BI / Databricks).
  • Strong SQL & Excel skills, plus knowledge of an analytical language like Python.
  • Advanced skills in DAX and MS Power Query.
  • Solid understanding of BI, data modelling, ETL, statistical modelling, data architecture, and governance.
  • Exposure to cloud-based hosting services (Azure/Amazon) desirable.
  • Experience liaising with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience or education in financial modelling, predictive modelling, and machine learning desirable.
  • STEM degree qualification preferred.
  • Industry experience in Finance, Retail, Sales, or Marketing is a plus.
