About Kohort

Kohort is the leading machine learning platform for mobile gaming user acquisition. We provide game studios investment-grade LTV predictions, using petabyte-scale data and ML Ops.

We are a group of gaming and data experts from King, Sensor Tower, Tripledot, Bloomberg and Football Radar. Our clients range from large, listed game developers and publishers, to up and coming start-ups building at the cutting edge of mobile gaming.

We add value to customers by helping them optimize UA spend on a day to day basis, and then creating budget and financial plans to accomplish strategic finance goals - from VC raises to IPO prep.

Why Kohort

  • Career acceleration: We are accelerating as only a startup can. Join on the ground floor, in a zero-politics, no-drama, high-energy, impact-focused environment.
  • Do the defining work of your career: We are working on a $6bn problem. That’s how much UA spend is wasted in mobile gaming each year. Did that make your blood boil? Sounds crazy? Wasteful? Let’s fix it together.
  • Live and breathe gaming: You’ll get to work with the biggest game studios as well as on some of the biggest gaming VC deals. We also, of course, have frequent COD Mobile competitions.

Your Role

In your role, you’ll focus on delivering clear, actionable insights to help mobile gaming businesses grow. Your role will involve using Kohort's platform to analyse performance data, identify opportunities, and support studios in refining their user acquisition strategies. This is a hands-on position where your contributions directly impact the success of the business.

  • Forecasting and Budgeting: You will empower clients in their growth strategies by helping them construct multi-year forecasts. Your focus will be on user acquisition, retention, and monetisation, and translating pipeline plans into product performance.
  • UA Optimisation: You will advise clients how to right-size UA spend using the Kohort platform bid and spend recommendations and develop playbooks on how to run UA in conjunction with the Kohort platform.
  • Client facing work: You will be required to work directly with clients at a C-level, educating and training them on UA best practices via the Kohort platform.
  • Mastery of Proprietary Tools: You will become proficient in using the Kohort proprietary platform, enabling you to conduct in-depth analyses efficiently and contribute to enhancing the user experience.
  • Collaboration with Product Team and Leadership: You will collaborate closely with our product team and leadership, providing valuable feedback and insights to improve our offerings and user experience.
  • Transactional Services: You will also work in a team that performs commercial due diligence of major gaming investments and acquisitions by Tier1 Venture Capital and Private Equity firms.
  • Location: You will be based in either the US East Coast, London or Cape Town. This role will require adaptable working hours reflective of our customer base across the western world

We are a pre-Series A startup. So we know our domain and the problem we want to solve, but need your help in getting there. Part of this role is being a startup operator; executing your work and helping build the company at the same time.
