The Cloud Data Engineer plays a crucial role in shaping an organization's data landscape, ensuring it aligns with business objectives, complies with regulations, and leverages the capabilities of cloud platforms to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions. The ideal candidate will use their curiosity and creativity to envision and implement cutting edge data solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and align data strategies with business goals.
  • Design data architectures that support scalability, security, and performance spanning multiple cloud environments.
  • Possess expertise in Azure data offerings such as Azure SQL MI, Azure cache for Redis, Azure PostgreSQL.
  • Leverage cloud-native services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
  • Implement data integration solutions to enable seamless flow of information across the organization.
  • Ensure data integration processes are efficient, reliable, and maintain data integrity.
  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Optimize data architectures for performance and scalability.
  • Implement solutions that handle increasing data volumes and user demands.
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies and practices.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred. Computer Science or similar degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud providers required.
  • Proficient in SQL, PostGres, ElasticSearch, Redis and ETL
  • Experience with public cloud providers such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud preferred.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, big data, and data lake concepts.
