Fasteners Inc is looking for a Sales Data Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for driving business results.

Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities

  • Gather, clean, and analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to communicate key insights and performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Use data analytics to support sales reporting requests and maintain existing reporting assets.
  • Provide analytical support to sales staff, offering timely insights and assistance on large quotes and sales strategies.
  • Occasionally prepare quotes, orders, and follow-ups with a focus on data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in creating sales presentation materials with analytical insights and data visualization.
  • Maintain and update sales documentation to ensure accuracy of accounting, order, and inventory data.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor products, and pricing to provide actionable insights to management.
  • Collaborate with Company advertising and promotions teams to optimize sales strategies based on data-driven recommendations.
  • Communicate forecasted sales trends and spikes to Purchasing department to optimize inventory management.
  • Stay current on industry trends and product knowledge through continuous learning and analysis.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to understand new merchandise, industry meetings, and participate in trade shows. 
  • Protect and maintain confidentiality of company trade secrets and other confidential and proprietary information including, without limitation, customer information and sales data.
  • Collaborate and communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Support a culture of collaboration and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Adherence to all company policies, including safety and core values, which are of the utmost importance to the organization. 
  • Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or department management.

 

Skills/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, statistics, economics, or a related field. 
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales or business analytics, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with experience in interpreting sales data to drive business decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
  • Self-motivated with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and achieve results.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite, MS Office suite, and Google G Suite.
  • Highly proficient in Excel. 
  • Professional demeanor with strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel for hands-on product training and other job-related activities.
  • Enthusiasm for working in an organization where flexibility and teamwork are absolute necessities.

Compensation: 

  • Starting Pay: $59,000 to $68,000
