Due to our continued growth, we are seeking to appoint a Sales and Marketing Data Analyst

Role Purpose

The Sales and Marketing Data Analyst will be responsible for leveraging data to optimise sales and marketing strategies, enhance CRM functionality, and improve overall business performance. This role focuses on Salesforce data management, Pardot marketing, reporting, in-depth analytics, and process automation to support data-driven decision-making within the Commercial Team. By ensuring accurate data insights and providing analytical support, this role directly contributes to increased sales efficiency, improved marketing effectiveness, and overall revenue growth.

Scope of the Role

  • Oversee the management, accuracy, and usability of sales and marketing data within Salesforce CRM
  • Provide data-driven insights to optimise sales and marketing strategies, including lead conversion, customer acquisition, and campaign performance
  • Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to track key performance metrics for sales and marketing teams
  • Automate reporting and data analysis processes to enhance efficiency and reduce manual workload
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and senior leadership, to align data insights with business objectives
  • Support business planning, revenue modelling, and forecasting through robust analytics and trend analysis
  • Work closely with external Salesforce consultancy teams to enhance system functionality and optimise workflows
  • Fully utilise the benefits and functionality of the Pardot marketing tool to improve marketing automation, lead nurturing, and campaign tracking

Key Responsibilities 

Salesforce Data Management and Reporting

  • Own and optimise our Salesforce CRM, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and usability
  • Develop and maintain custom dashboards and reports to track key sales and marketing metric
  • Automate data processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance Salesforce workflows, lead scoring, and pipeline management

Sales and Pardot Marketing Analytics

  • Analyse lead conversion rates, pipeline performance, and sales cycle trends to identify bottlenecks and opportunities
  • Work closely with marketing to assess ROI on campaigns, PPC performance, and inbound vs outbound effectiveness
  • Evaluate win/loss data and provide actionable insights to improve sales strategies
  • Support sales forecasting, revenue modelling, and business planning with robust data insights

Process Improvement and Automation

  • Identify inefficiencies in sales and marketing processes and recommend improvements
  • Implement data-driven decision-making tools to support the commercial team
  • Work with the Salesforce consultancy team to optimise system functionality

To succeed in the role, the following person specification, technical and behavioural competencies are required:
Person Specification
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Data Analytics, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3-4+ years of experience in sales and marketing analytics or data analysis
  • Experience of Pardot Marketing, including campaign automation, lead management, and reporting
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM, including dashboard creation and report generation
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with SQL is a plus
  • Strong understanding of marketing metrics, sales KPIs, and campaign analytics
  • Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholder
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

This is a full-time, permanent role, worked over 5 days (hybrid), Monday to Friday.
