Job Description

The Data and Reporting Analyst (DR) will support IT and Finance in capital & expense analysis and reporting. Various tools (Business Objects, Microsoft Office Suite, Integrify, SharePoint Designer, Visio and Clarity) will be used for reporting including analysis to drive user insights, identification of performance improvement opportunities, ad hoc analysis, reporting to support key initiatives within the organization, auditing and administrative management.



Primary responsibilities will utilize Clarity sourced data to support monthly department & IT financial reporting and data management for accurate or predictive reporting. Each month the DR will produce resource capital & expense utilization reports for each department. For information that cannot be generated through existing Clarity reporting, the DR will develop, implement and maintain the infrastructure dashboard and reports in the web catalog for the various users of Clarity reporting (By various roles or departmental cost centers). The DR will be capturing reporting requirements, sharing, distributing, securing and leveraging data resources. Working with multidimensional and relational data marts and web based reporting tools to facilitate analysis and decision making. The DR will be responsible for developing new reports to help track against current initiatives.


Functional responsibilities include (1) creation of documentation, process and procedure documentation, (2) running routine financial reports such as the CapEx month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing balance process, (3) CapEx finance administration, tracking, and compliance within the Clarity System, (4) Reporting and analytical assistance with the IT and Finance group utilizing the various reporting tools (5) System administrator for specific applications (6) back up and support for the Support team (7) maintenance of all the data points for accurate reporting and portlets: Team OBS assignments and structures, Resource Department assignments, Project Department assignments, Customer OBS structure, Group right assignments and structures, Resources, Projects, NPIO's, Etc.)



Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills




Required:

  • Introductory experience with Excel VBA
  • Strong knowledge of data management and query writing on MS SQL
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Resourceful and excellent organizational skills
  • Process requests timely with minimal supervision required
  • Methodical approach. Organized, possessing strong analytical abilities
  • Strong time management skills, ability to work within deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
