Position Summary

Interface Data Analyst is responsible for the management and fitness of clinical and billing data that flows into our operational systems from multiple provider EHR/EMR/RIS systems. Experience should include HL7 interfacing, system integrations, and key medical imaging workflows. This position plays a key role in our data management, clinical quality, and revenue cycle processes. The successful candidate will operate on the frontlines of business workflow management working with both our integrations teammates, business stakeholders and health system EHR support personnel. They will build relationships and create processes to identify and define business requirements and monitor and manage data quality.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initiate and lead data discovery with client healthcare entities and analyze the business workflows to fulfil the business needs.
  • Closely interact with integrations and billing teams to provide subject matter expert services
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve data issues, related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency and completeness
  • Definition and implementation of best practices to ensure optimal business performance, scalability, reusability, and data quality across all implementation projects.
  • Establish and enforce data governance process
  • Define and document subject area data and metadata
  • Enable growth by streamlining new practice and healthcare entity data integrations
  • Initiate and lead analysis of post-production data issues and business workflows
  • Guide support resources in the correction of interface problems.
  • Guide the reprocessing and correction of data in affected system.
  • Drive to root cause and initiate necessary steps to prevent future data quality issues
  • Use knowledge of radiology clinical workflow and data to direct the resolution of reported incidents.
  • Recommend procedures and governance process to identify and alert on data issues
  • Establish best practice for post-production data analysis and incident resolution

Desired Professional Skills And Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Information Sciences, Computer Science or equivalent is required
  • Experience and knowledge of data life-cycle management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Possess critical and analytical problem solving skills to ensure any issues that arise from the system design are corrected and documented to prevent in the future.
  • 3 Years of experience as an Interface Data Analyst
  • 3-5 years of data management experience working with relational databases and SQL required
  • 3-5 years of experience integrating systems with third-party service vendors in Clinical and Billing Applications domain
  • Experience collecting and managing healthcare related data desired
  • Hands-on with Integration Engines including, but not limited to Corepoint, Mirth Connect, Rhapsody
  • Working knowledge of HL7 2.x (SIU, ADT, ORM, ORU, MDM, DFT, RDE, etc.), FHIR, EDI X12 (837, 835, 270, 271) transactions. DICOM standards and EHR/EMR is highly desired
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Familiarity with project management tools and process
