Overview of role:
The Quality Data Analyst post is located within the Quality Data Analysis & Process Improvement Pillar of the UPMC Compliance programme.
The post holder will bring expertise in data analysis and will work within a team responsible for leading on improving high quality, safe, effective person-centred health care in UPMC Ireland. The post holder will contribute to the UPMC Ireland Quality Improvement framework through:
• Developing and designing data sets and information flows to support data requirements for clinical quality information projects
• Work with the Quality Managers and wider team to analyse, interpret and report data, in line with project aims and requirements.
• Collect and collate complex data and information on a routine basis, to support both internal reporting and data returns to external organisations as required
• Provide advice and guidance on data, measures, and data analysis to staff involved in quality projects

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities:
Quality Management Systems: Implement and maintain
quality management systems to ensure compliance with healthcare standards and
regulations. Develop and monitor quality metrics and performance indicators.
PREMs and PROMs: Collect, analyse, and interpret data related to PREMs and PROMs to assess patient satisfaction and outcomes. Use this data to identify areas for improvement in patient care and service delivery.
Data Analysis: Utilize statistical methods and data modelling to analyse healthcare data, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Generate reports and dashboards to present findings to stakeholders.
Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, patient experiences, and outcomes. Present findings to management and healthcare teams to inform decision-making and quality improvement initiatives.
Collaboration: Work closely with clinical teams, patient care coordinators, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and integrate feedback into quality improvement processes.
Data Analysis: Utilize mathematical and scientific techniques to compile, analyse, and interpret data from various sources.
Reporting: Prepare technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations. Create tables, charts, graphs, and technical summaries for presentation.
Data Management: Implement data standards, deploy automation tools to extract, synthesize, and validate data, and transform data into usable metrics.
Collaboration: Work with team members and stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and requirements. Contribute to team meetings and project milestones.
Technical Expertise: Use statistical methods and data
modelling to produce reports, data files, and dashboards. Ensure data quality
and accuracy.
Education: Requires an bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in healthcare, healthcare analytics, or a related field.
Skills: Proficiency in system-specific query languages, Microsoft Office, and data visualization tools. Knowledge of clinical benchmarking and analytics frameworks.
