Role Description


Our company's Technology organization seeks a candidate to be part of a Global Technology Data Definition Office and Technology Asset Inventory teams. A Project Manager/Business Analyst in this role will be responsible for simultaneously supporting priorities across multiple technology data and asset governance projects.As a member of the Data Management and Governance team within the Technology Data Governance department you will be responsible for the management and governance of data that is sourced into shared data platforms that are used across Technology. This includes the rationalization of the data (future and current) that we source and store, and the active documentation within our data catalog / system dictionary. In addition, you will be responsible for the governance of centrally managed datasets, including cataloging attributes, upstream systems and downstream consumers, defining and monitoring data quality controls, managing data related issues, managing coordination and relation with data providers and consumers. Lastly, you will be responsible for ensuring that data is sourced, used, archived, and disposed of according to the firm's Global Data Policy by working closely with our business clients, system / platform owners, and Data Governance offices and committees.


As a member of the Global Technology Asset Inventory team, you will be responsible to assist with governance and stakeholder management by understanding the current and strategic processes and tooling landscape for our technology asset inventory management. This requires a quick grasp of topics that cut across the breadth of the asset inventory silos for software and hardware. You will also require understanding the connection points between technology asset management processes and related key data element documentation in the data catalog. 


In both above roles, you will be responsible for managing and organizing materials for the monthly senior management forums.


Key Responsibilities:

To work with data owners/consumers to understand and document data requirements.

To document data sourcing and usage details in approved Data Cataloguing tools.

To define and monitor data quality controls using firm approved tools.

To develop and implement data governance processes in-line with Global Data Policy.

To track and execute action plans for completing open actions/issues related to the Firm's Technology Asset Management or Data Governance priorities.

To develop and present data analysis results in a meaningful and compelling way to leadership teams and support easy/quick decision-making.

To note impactful minutes of meetings for purposes of audit as well as effective tracking of work .

The candidate should be flexible, highly adaptable to a constantly changing environment, and an excellent team player.

The candidate should expect to work in a global virtual team that spans across multiple time zones.

The candidate will be asked to juggle multiple ad hoc requests in addition to the BAU aspects of the role.
