Position Overview:

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility

As a Data Analyst on the Product Management team, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into actionable insights. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze data, identify trends, and provide valuable recommendations to drive business decisions.

The Data Analyst will be responsible for managing the team governance by incorporating the data insights into the team’s management system such as program reviews and management reporting. In addition, you will oversee the Solution Lifecycle Management system for software, cloud and as a service product advancement.

The key areas of responsibility are:

• Data Collection and Cleaning:
  • Gather data from various sources (databases, APIs, spreadsheets, etc.).
  • Clean, validate, and preprocess data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Data Exploration and Analysis:
  • Use statistical techniques and data visualization tools to explore data.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
  • Utilizing visualization techniques develop effective methods of distributing reports and analytics across multiple functions / organizations.
• Metrics and KPIs:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Monitor and track performance metrics.
  • Provide insights based on KPI trends.
• Business Insights:
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Present findings to management and other teams.
• Tools and Technologies:
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Collaborate with the Product management team to prioritize business and information needs.
• Oversee and manage day-to-day activities related to the Solution Lifecyle Management process.
• Coordinate team management systems including regular reporting and program reviews.

Basic Qualifications

The Data Analysts will have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant (business, management, economics, statistics, information science or similar).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with data querying, cleaning, and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, Tableau), databases, programming (XML, SQL).
• Knowledge of statistics and proficient using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel including but not limited to PowerBI)
• Ability to manage governance systems (e.g. SLM) across multiple functions across the company.
