Full Time

Responsibilities






Payroll Business Analyst conducts analytical work to support payroll processing and compliance within all payroll functions of Select Medical’s Payroll Services Department.

  • Analyzes payroll-related functions, processes, and activities to provide suggestions for enhancements that will improve efficiencies and business outcomes.
  • Routine maintenance of regularly used department references, templates, and databases using Excel, Access, and MicroStrategy.
  • Create and distribute regular and ad hoc reports to management, external business partners and other stakeholders as requested.
  • Manage retrieval and organization of large volumes of data from various timekeeping/payroll systems.
  • Recommends alternative solutions to stakeholders as to courses of action that best meet organizational objectives.
  • Reviews and analyzes all available information to answer business questions.
  • Assists with the creation of training and reference documents for business related templates, databases as well as routine excel functions.
  • Troubleshoot and create solutions for issues when they arise with pre-built templates and databases.








Qualifications






Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school in business or finance.
  • 1-2 years of applicable and proven experience in business and data analysis. 
  • Proficient in payroll, accounting, and financial principles. 
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects.
  • Prior and proven experience successfully working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • PC proficiency and expertise in spreadsheet and database applications such as Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Knowledge of information systems, reporting, and programming.
  • Superior attention to detail, prioritizing tasks and organization under minimal supervision and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills,  and interpersonal and team building skills with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with mature judgment and integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with MicroStrategy, Oracle E-Business Suite, UKG and ADP payroll products.
