LMI seeks a skilled Mid-Level Financial/Program Data Analyst to support a CBP PMO in the National Capital Region. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our client keep U.S. borders safe and facilitate travel and trade. Responsibilities






  • Develop and apply analytic methodologies and principles, including data mining, text analytics, business intelligence, modeling data, qualitative, quantitative, and data visualization, in support of ongoing initiatives.
  • Have data analysis experience and assist in the application of analytic techniques and provide recommendations for objective and strategic direction.
  • Assist in resolving complex problems which require in-depth knowledge of analytic methodologies and principles.
  • Assist in analyzing acquisition data and formulate recommendations.
  • Design and develop materials, evaluating the effectiveness in accordance with stated Guidelines, Directives, Standard Operating Procedures, specifications, and models.
  • Assist in conducting research, data gathering and technical reviews. Produce written deliverables to include reports, spreadsheets, databases, formal process, mapping, technical design and system testing and implementation activities.
  • Utilize MS Office products, including Project








Qualifications






  • A Bachelor’s Degree and 6 or more years in data analysis/visualization
  • Experience developing and applying analytic methodologies and principles, including data mining, text analytics, business intelligence, modeling data, qualitative, quantitative, and data visualization, in support of ongoing initiatives.
  • Have demonstrable data analysis experience and assist in the application of analytic techniques and provide recommendations for objective and strategic direction.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders 
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and effectively solve problems 
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written 
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment 
  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications 

 

Preferred:  

  • Active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation is a significant plus. 
  • Previous work formulating or executing CBP budgets. 
  • Relevant certification(s) such as: CGFM, CDFM, PMP, CFCM, and / or CPCM
