As we continue to grow and enhance our offerings, we seek a dynamic and experienced Lead Data Analyst to join our team.

As the Lead Data Analyst at FBG, you will be at the forefront of transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and enhance our gaming and betting operations. You will lead a team of data analysts, oversee complex data projects, and work closely with cross-functional teams to leverage data for business growth and competitive advantage.

This role will be responsible for all aspects of Customer Operations data analytics.  From creating new models on how to best prioritize customer contacts to helping inform the future of our chatbot experience, this role will have a wide range of problems to solve.  This person will play a key leadership role in transforming Customer Operations into a best-in-class experience for our customers.  

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, providing guidance on analytical methodologies, data interpretation, and best practices.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, setting clear goals and ensuring continuous professional development.
Data Analysis and Insights:
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Develop and implement advanced analytical models and algorithms to support betting strategies, customer segmentation, and business optimization.
Strategic Decision Support:
  • Collaborate with senior management and other stakeholders to understand business needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Present complex data findings in a clear and concise manner, using visualizations and reports to support strategic initiatives.
Data Quality and Integrity:
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across various platforms and sources.
  • Develop and enforce data governance practices and standards.
Project Management:
  • Lead and manage data-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Coordinate with IT and data engineering teams to enhance data infrastructure and support analytical needs.
Innovation and Improvement:
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics and betting/gaming domains.
  • Propose and implement innovative approaches to enhance data analytics capabilities and drive business growth.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior analyst role. Experience in the betting and gaming industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency with data languages including SQL and R or Python, and tools like Tableau, MicroStrategy, Redshift, or Snowflake
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to extract data from prepared sources and transform it into both ad-hoc and structured continuous insights
  • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with engineers and stakeholders, earning trust and prioritizing relationships 
  • Experience leading analysts in high-growth environments, preferably B2C
  • Strong executive presentation and communication skills.
  • Highly outcome oriented and data driven.
  • Experience in Experimentation, A/B Testing, Optimization
  • Excellent influencing and problem resolution skills.
  • Positive and flexible attitude, a willingness to embrace new initiatives and develop expertise in the Operations function of the business 
  • Strong report writing skills with the ability to gather, evaluate and analyze relevant information while structuring material in a logical and coherent manner.
Compensation:  
  • $120k-$240k Base + Bonus + Equity
