What’s the role?

We are seeking a skilled IT and Digital Business Analyst to join our team and drive the successful delivery of innovative IT projects. You will play a crucial role in transforming our council’s services through technology. You will lead and manage a variety of IT projects, from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake specific assignments to analyse, document and manage business need and help facilitate the design of cost-effective solutions that improve services.
  • Deliver business analysis to support the development of business cases and project delivery.
  • Analyse and document ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ processes and facilitate change.
  • Work closely with business areas and stakeholders to ensure that their requirements are identified, considered, and met.
  • Work independently and autonomously and lead on small to medium size projects.
  • Work closely with services and project teams to support the delivery of large corporate projects including transformation, service delivery, business and behaviour change projects and new ways of working.

What we’re looking for

Substantial knowledge of PRINCE2 and Agile project management methodologies and processes.

Knowledge of user-centric design.

Ability to work closely with senior managers to understand strategic requirements and to translate these into business cases for change. Substantial experience of having effectively managed projects in a large organisation from initiation through to implementation.

Experience of building effective working relationships and achieving agreed objectives through strong negotiating and influencing and by working in partnership with senior managers and staff at all levels of the organisation.

Solid Business Analyst experience within a Local Authority / Public Sector environment is preferred.

Experience of systems analysis to identify and analyse IT system capabilities and develop models and system requirements for bespoke IT systems or software packages.

Experience of business modelling, understanding potential changes and how business processes, systems, and data interact.

Location

The job is primarily based in Laurence House, Catford, London, SE6 4RU, but we operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.

Salary

£54,135 - £56,151 per annum (P06)

N.B: All appointments will be offered at the minimum spinal column point (SCP) for the grade of the role. The only exception to this will be when matching current salary (up to the maximum of the scale), which is subject to evidential proof.
