To support these objectives, teams across the Bank regularly review reporting systems and dashboards that support our lending programs. We are seeking a Data Analyst to help develop and enhance these reports and dashboards.


The Data Analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret data to help optimize operational processes and support decision-making across the organization. This role works closely with multiple departments, identifying areas for improvement and providing clear, data-driven insights. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise way.


 What You’ll Do: 

  • Collect and analyze data from various operational sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies based on data analysis.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data-driven strategies to optimize performance and achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular data audits and validations.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through presentations and written reports.
  • Prepare documentation on all projects to enable peer review and ensure continuity of data product quality.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and operations management.
  • Identify issues related to data, data sources and data processing.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of key metrics that drive loan performance and the inter-relationships between those metrics
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses as needed to support Bank wide initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

  What We're Looking For:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, mathematics, information systems, computer science, finance, information management, economics or similar of 4 years of work experience in the field.
  • Prior experience analyzing data sets. Financial services experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience with Object-Oriented Programming, along with strong skills in Excel, MS SQL, and Power BI for data analysis and visualization.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in using business intelligence (BI) tools to analyze and generate reports from diverse data sources, providing actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making. 
  • Proficiency in database management, with a deep understanding of data structures and relationships, and hands-on experience using Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis. Experience with ETL processes for data integration and transformation.
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency in using Office 365 tools for effective communication and collaboration, including but not limited to Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Proficiency in learning and adapting to new systems and tools as required.
  • Solid database management skills, including a thorough understanding of Python and SQL data relationships and structures.
  • Ability to gather and document requirements effectively from end-users.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting and validating workflows to ensure seamless operations.
  • Experience in administering and managing CRM/ERP environments, including setup, configuration, customization, and maintenance.

  • Clear communication skills; verbal, written, and presentation development.
  • The ability to read, interpret and critique technical documentation with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent multitasking skills and task management strategies.

  • Experience working with private and sensitive personal information.
  • Confident in decision making and the ability to explain processes or choices as needed.
  • Familiarity with financial regulations is a strong plus.

This position is considered hybrid and is located in our Salt Lake City office.
