Working Hours: 9-5.30pm
The Index Data Analyst will perform critical functions to support daily operations. Including detailed data analysis and identify and resolving data issues and helpdesk queries. Quality, accuracy, and timeliness are critical to the success of this function.
Identify data issues related to movements in the financial markets that have impacted an index, perform in root cause analysis and resolve data quality issues through collaboration with our vendor or verification on Bloomberg.
Work with business partners and systems partners to resolve data issues within a defined SLA time.
Timely response for the implementations set-up and maintenance requests and queries received by customers via the Index helpdesk.
Recommend process enhancements for the efficient, accurate and timely completion of all activities including data loading, quality checks, implementations and reporting.
Assist in defining and executing test plans and support user acceptance testing for process enhancements.
Proactive participation & management of varied projects/initiatives.
Assist in the documentation, response, and management of client requests for new data.
Maintain and update procedure documents.
Adhere to Fidelity’s Risk & Control policies & procedures.
Promote LEAN and AGILE concepts.

The Global Data Services (GDS) team within Fidelity Funds and Investment Operations (FFIO) is a global, investment data management organization that specializes in the sourcing, analysis, integration, management and distribution of security, index, and portfolio data. GDS provides these data services for reference, evaluative, performance and analytical data in support of global investment decision making organizations. The Index Data Management team, a division of GDS, specializes in managing, integrating and validating vendor and Fidelity-defined data associated with index reference, price and market data.
