ICT Business Analyst 

Duration: 12 Months Fixed Term Contract role - Salary based role

Salary: £46,000 - £53,900 per annum + excellent benefits

Location: London & remote (hybrid working)

Start: ASAP

Role Overview:

We require an ICT Business Analyst to support the Clients ICT operating model which is being changed so that light-touch analysis is shared across most of their ICT function. This role will provide the training, support and coaching needed to support this change and produce a toolset/analysis templates for use in light-touch analysis.

The ICT project encompass five workstreams which are:

1) Training of ICT staff in analysis

2) WiFi/LAN pilot and start of implementation

3) WAN replacement (end of contract)

4) E-commerce order fulfillment and stock storage/management

5) Collections management systems requirements definition

This role will require the ICT Business Analyst to dedicate for the first 6 months approx. 40 - 50% of their time in training/up-skilling and producing toolsets/templates for analysis; and afterwards you will be working on the LAN/WiFi pilot.

For the second half of the project (6 months); you will then be focused on the WAN project together with their E-commerce (Retail) and Collections management systems.

Some travel will be required to all their group sites, suppliers and peer organisations when needed.

Essential skills & experience required

As the ICT Business Analyst you will have experience in developing colleagues in the business analysis skillset and toolset through coaching and process/template development.

Possess experience of developing toolkits and templates for business analysis

Have significant experience of analysing business activities leading to client sign-off of requirement specification

Proficient in collaborating with others to establish a technical vision and to analyse the trade offs between usability and functional and performance needs

Qualified to a relevant professional standard, or have a relevant working knowledge and experience 

Able to articulate business requirements and translate these into technical specifications.

Nice to a have would be any experience of working in a commercial or customer focused environment; ideally with some cultural, charity or related exposure.

 

Responsibilities include:

Assess the existing analysis skillsets of members within their ICT project office and operations teams

Coach/mentor ICT colleagues with professional knowledge sharing through personal development plans in the business analysis skillset

Produce a toolset/analysis templates for use in light-touch analysis

Embed new ICT processes and templates to support analysis of business requirements and change

Extract/challenge business requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use case scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis

Create tender specifications and manage the tender process in collaboration with their contracts & procurement team to ensure best value for the organisation

Work with the appropriate technical resources in the design of solutions to fit the documented business requirements

Develop relationships with senior business managers for the specific workstreams as specified to make sure their ICT needs are understood and support the shaping of requirements

Develop documentation for the proposed work for handover to the ICT project managers

Possess excellent stakeholder management skills for liaising with the members of staff involved in the specified workstreams.

The role will require you to be onsite two days per week.
