The Finance BA (Impact Assessment) will lead the analysis of complex business changes, particularly in Insurance claims and Reinsurance, to identify the necessary people, processes, and technology for delivering expected benefits. They will collaborate with and influence business, finance, and technology stakeholders to develop, plan, and implement value-driven solutions within agreed timelines and budgets. The role involves strategic analysis, planning, and scoping of multiple complex initiatives to support senior stakeholders in decision-making, while also being a key contributor in a team of analysts focused on business operations requirements.

What being a Finance BA (Impact Assessment) involves:

  • Act as an internal consultant, guiding senior stakeholders in the insurance finance function on change possibilities to optimise operations.
  • Lead the development and implementation of domain-level business architectures, simplified operating models, processes, and applications.
  • Educate and align stakeholders on the Change team’s contributions, ensuring proper prioritization of requirements to meet business goals.
  • Investigate, document, and manage business requirements, ensuring traceability from requirements to solution and testing.
  • Ensure delivered solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements, including data migration and change implementation.
  • Collaborate on solution design, select appropriate delivery methodologies, and develop project/resource plans.
  • Identify resource needs for programs, escalate shortfalls, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in business analysis, contributing to a Community of Practice.
  • Take full responsibility for meeting technical or supervisory objectives, setting milestones, and assigning tasks.
  • Facilitate scoping, priority setting, and stakeholder agreement for complex changes, managing changes to program scope.

Skills and Qualities you will need:

  • A qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with expeirence in Insurance finance accounting and finance technology.
  • Experience of change programmes within Finance, including full lifecycle system implementations, data mapping / integrations into Cloud and Onsite software applications.
  • Experience of using application reporting tools and building/developing reports for end users.
  • Ability to lead, and to influence stakeholders in Finance and the wider organisation.

Hours: 35 Hours per week
