FEMA-Data Specialists (Nationwide)

Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity to utilize your skills and experience helping your country and supporting our Disaster Recovery Services team?  Dewberry is currently searching for junior and mid-level Data Analysts to work onsite at a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) facility with the United States.  Our ideal candidates are those with prior FEMA experience having used the grants management system.

Responsibilities






Dewberry's Data Specialists will travel to locations across the United States to support the FEMA Disaster Recovery Services team with data-related contract oversight and tracking activities.  Responsibilities could include but not limited to: 

  • Creating and using pre-existing templates and spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
  • Entering data into electronic databases and spreadsheets
  • Data maintenance and manipulation  
  • Upload and downloading of files between multiple systems and applications
  • Training of government personnel on the spreadsheets and/or databases in use
  • Other administrative and clerical activities related to the disaster mission
  • Preliminary analysis of the data may also be included in addition to the above activities 
  • Data Analysts must be skilled in Power BI to compute, evaluate and present analysis results








Required Skills & Required Experience






  • Energetic, organized and detailed-oriented
  • Experience in data entry, analysis
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)    
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to travel and work onsite at a FEMA facility
  • Ability to work a minimum 90-day assignment; working 8-12 hours per day, 5-7 days a week
  • Must have a clean driving record and able to maintain a valid driver's license in order to operate a company, personal or rental car
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to successfully pass a Federal background investigation, to include financial and criminal history
