Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks an Enterprise Data Analyst to be responsible for creating Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and Power Apps based off user requirements and design sessions while working within ZNA’s defined standards. Specific duties include: study, analyze, and understand business requirements in context of business intelligence; design and map data models to shift raw data into meaningful insights; utilize Power BI to build interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports; transform business requirements into technical publications; build multi-dimensional data models; participate in key Enterprise Data Initiative team projects, supporting underlying data capture and utilization opportunities; identify data most valuable to the organization, and evaluate this data and alignment with the corporate data model; establish working relationships with key technical leads throughout the organization, and ensure ongoing alignment with their activities and the overall organization’s strategic direction. Option to work remotely is available.

 

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Math, Applied Statistics, or a closely related field of study, plus 3 years of experience in the job offered, or as an Associate - Projects, or similar position in data analytics and visualization. Must have 3 years of experience with each of the following: working with Power BI; working with data analysis and visualization development including identifying the data sources, connecting to the source, loading data and designing the data models, transforming the data, performing deeper analysis and creating interactive visuals and user-friendly reports for business; working with SQL and writing complex queries; working with DAX queries to create the measures and calculated columns; working with Power query editor and performing different M-code functionality; working with Fact and Dim tables to create the relationships; creating row level security for users to view the reports based on their roles, locations and positions in Power BI desktop and other visualization tools; working with Power BI service to create workspaces for published reports and configure datasets to schedule refresh frequencies; working with filters and other desktop features to drill down data and visualize it in a best possible way through charts, reports or dashboards; working with Power Apps and embedded analytics to embed Power BI reports to other applications; working with R programming language to perform statistical analysis of the data and create customs visuals in Power BI; and working with time series analysis to forecast the trend using Power BI, Other Visualization tools and R.
