About the role: 

As an Engineering Data Analyst, you will be required to read and understand client Tag Numbering Specifications this is to enable transformation from paper to digital.  Have a good understanding of key Engineering Documents and Drawing such as Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P+IDs), Loop Diagrams, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Data Sheets etc.  The role is to extract required data from the documents and to support other team members with their understanding of Engineering Data.

Here's what the role looks like:

Engineering Data Analysts work for specific projects and led by an experienced Project Manager.  They are required to undertake a wide range of project related activities including:

  • Read and understand Key Engineering Documents and Drawing
  • Extract technical data from engineering drawings and engineering documents.
  • Building the more complex relationships between data and documents.
  • Cleaning and validating data to ISO standards and client requirements.
  • Converting client Tag Number Specifications into a digital format.
  • Building hierarchy relationships from process plant, instrument loop and electrical systems.
  • Raising and solving technical queries.
  • Provide technical support to Engineering Data Assemblers



Requirements

Here are the key skills and experience relevant to this role:  

  • Previous experience in an Engineering environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents and drawings
  • Ability to identify and extract key data from document and drawing.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with Engineering Data Assemblers to provide comprehensive technical support.
  • Thorough ability to clean, validate, and maintain data integrity to meet ISO standards and client-specific requirements
  • Adaptability to thrive in a predominantly office-based environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills for clear stakeholder engagement and technical support.
