Responsibilities






 

  • Innovative Research & Model Development: Conduct cutting-edge research to deliver industry-specific knowledge through our TruePlanning software suite. Develop and refine Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs), calculators, and other user guidance tools with a focus on credibility and relevance.
  • Model Maintenance & Evolution: Create and maintain high-level design and verification requirements for TruePlanning cost models. Ensure alignment with emerging software technologies and methodologies.
  • Data Integrity & Credibility: Identify and maintain credible sources for software cost, effort, and technical data. Continuously update and maintain the software knowledge base for TruePlanning users.
  • Cost Estimation Expertise: Utilize your experience in cost estimation and cost model building to enhance the TruePlanning suite. Develop robust models that accurately reflect the cost dynamics of software projects.
  • Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with the Cost Research, Product Management, and Development Teams to define and implement model requirements. Engage with industry leaders, users, prospects, and consultants to address the software community's cost and affordability needs.
  • Quality Assurance: Verify that finished products meet the defined requirements and deliver significant value to our clients.
  • Thought Leadership & Advocacy: Create compelling cost research materials, including papers, presentations, blogs, and webinars, to enhance UCE's reputation as the leader in software cost research.








Qualifications






 

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in software engineering, product development, cost model building, or a related field. Experience in software cost estimation is a significant plus.
  • Skills: Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a passion for data analysis and model development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eligibility: US Citizenship is required for this position.
