Pay range is $115,000-$130,000 per year, DOE, and the following benefits:

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Intermediate Data Engineer to join our storied engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the power of data, strong background in building data warehouses, maintaining SQL Server databases, and developing REST API services. This role requires hands-on experience with ODBC and OAuth, as well as proficiency in T-SQL/RDBMS and OLAP/OLTP data sources. Experience with Snowflake and building business intelligence UIs is a plus.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse capabilities to support business intelligence and analytics needs
  • Manage and optimize SQL Server databases to ensure high performance and reliability
  • Understand and help to maintain REST API services to facilitate data integration and access
  • Implement and manage ODBC and OAuth connections for secure data access
  • Work with T-SQL/RDBMS and OLAP/OLTP data sources to support various data-processing and reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data-engineering processes and solutions
  • Deliver a premier level of service for our audiology and ENT membership
  • Own the improvement process: actively seek to grow your skills and that of the team
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance procedures
  • Some Cloud experience (Azure, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.) preferred

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a data-engineering role with hands-on RDBMS programming
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining data warehouses
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server databases and T-SQL
  • Proficiency with ODBC and OAuth and OLAP/OLTP data sources
  • Nice-to-have: experience with Snowflake and building business intelligence UIs
  • Proven team skills, including ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels within an organization, internally and externally

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Hybrid work environment (Monday in-office for all staff with occasional additional days as necessary for meetings and events)
  • Full-time position working Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and WORK DEMANDS:

This position will spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers, which can cause muscle strain. This position will also have to do some lifting of supplies and materials from time to time.
