Data and Business Intelligence Developer

General Description: 

A Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Developer will utilize Microsoft Power BI developer skills to manage data warehouse and transform data into dynamic dashboards. This role will need to leverage SAP knowledge as well as business experience to support, grow, and continuously improve ME Global’s use of PowerBI to meet current and future business requirements. This role will need the ability to manage and prioritize competing issues spanning multiple processes while also demonstrating discretion and independent judgement in support of the business. Additionally, this position will be responsible for analyzing, gathering and documenting requirements to meet business requirements.

This position will come with the added benefit of being able to directly shadow the current resource in the position for 3 – 5 months. Additionally, this role will be directly supported by external MS Power BI consultants as well an internal team of SAP professionals. 

Key Responsibilities:   

• Manage and Maintain Data Warehouses: Responsible for ensuring that the data warehouses they develop are running smoothly. They will monitor system performance, diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and make necessary changes to optimize system performance.

• Data Integration and Processing: Data warehouse developers are responsible for processing, cleaning, and integrating large data sets from various sources to ensure that the data is accurate, complete, and consistent.

• Data Modeling: Data warehouse developers are responsible for designing and implementing data modeling solutions to ensure that the organization’s data is properly structured and organized for analysis.

• Manage 3rd party Power BI consulting relationship.

• Monitor and troubleshoot MS Azure intake pipeline.

• Monitor and ensure cost efficient utilization of MS Azure applications supporting our BI solution.

• Support break-fix, enhancement requests and production issues.

• Master Data: Ensure master data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality.

• Communicate and deliver user training on PowerBI dashboards and reporting.

• Gain exposure to and support other in-house operating systems utilized by ME Global.

Education/Experience Required: 

• Minimum of a four-year college degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance or other relevant subject area 

• 4-7+ years professional experience in IT, Business, Manufacturing or a related field 

Skills Required: 

• Data warehouse developers must be proficient in various data warehousing technologies, including ETL tools, SQL databases, and data modeling techniques. They must also have a strong background in programming languages such as SQL or Python.

• Experience with software such as Microsoft Power BI and Azure SQL Server. 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization. 

• Strong facilitation skills, including leveraging electronic collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams. 

• Proven ability to successfully elicit from stakeholders’ requirements. 

• Experience with end user support. 

Skills Desired:
