About the Program: The Life Science North American Graduate Internship Program is a 10-week remote work experience designed to identify the next generation of talent at MilliporeSigma. This program provides a unique opportunity within one of our business units or capabilities to develop strategic capabilities and build your business acumen in a supportive, team setting.

 

Our ideal candidate is a highly motivated graduate student with a proven track record of academic excellence and a desire to work in the Life Science industry. Those selected, will own a high impact project(s) and benefit from the experience of an executive mentor and the MilliporeSigma Talent and Development organization. You will also participate in a variety of activities to promote teamwork, social responsibility, and the development of both technical and interpersonal skills.

 

Who you are:  Reporting into the Head of Data Science and Transofrmation (sitting in Burlington, MA) and working closely with Heads of Digital Demand Generation, Digital Experience, and eCommerce respectively), you will play a key role in shaping data science competencies in link with digital marketing activities attracting our biopharmaceutical customers to do online business with Process Solutions. Working with us, you’ll join a dynamic, highly collaborative team that enjoys being “problem solvers” in science.

 

Key Responsibilities: In frame of marketing campaigns, electronic direct mails are sent to customers. Today list of customers are maintained and curated manually without any targeting. Working with various data sets available, you will:

  • Help Process Solutions MilliporeSigma build and expand data science capabilities, using your entrepreneurial drive.
  • Conduct a deep-dive analysis on different sources of data and data sets available to better curate customer’s list to allow better targeting of marketing activities and thus allow higher customer acquisition.
  • Bring insights and guidance and develop data visualization approach to display the recommended changes in ways to target customers
  • Collaborate with a cross functional team of internal experts and other interns to provide actionable insights based on data
  • Ability to assist the business to understand the data through visualization.

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursing a Master’s degree in statistics/mathematics, business analytics, machine learnings and predictive analytics
  • Experience with CRM and analytics tools such as Tableau, SFDC Einstein analytics,
  • Experience with Programming Languages such as Python, Java, Pro*C, PL/SQL or similar
  • Understanding/experience with emerging topics in artificial intelligence, intelligent systems, conversational bots, and knowledge representation and reasoning a plus
  • Passion, an entrepreneurial spirit, and willingness to have a curious mind to drive initiatives.
  • Ability to absorb, understand, and structure large amounts of new information quickly.
