Role: Data Analyst Intern

Job Location: Dallas or Remote

We are seeking a Data Analyst Intern to join our Data and Analytics team. The successful candidate will assist in developing and implementing a centralized analytics platform to support internal stakeholders and external stakeholders, including LPs and GPs. This role is ideal for current students , studying  Computer Science or Data Analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Centralized Analytics Platform Development: Assist in scoping out data models and reports from various fund accounting systems, such as Investran, eFront, and Entrilia, to help build a shared data model for centralized analytics and reporting. Develop an understanding of various stakeholders' analytics and reporting needs and scope out analytics solutions, including PE performance metrics.
• Data Collection and Cleaning: Gather data from disparate fund accounting systems and external industry sources, and centralize it into a data lake using Snowflake. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the data.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Perform data analysis using SQL and Python to identify trends and insights that can inform business decisions. Create and maintain reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau and PowerBI to visualize data and communicate findings to stakeholders. Provide suggestions on how to enhance data integration and model accuracy.
• Collaboration: Work closely with senior analysts and cross-functional teams to support data-driven projects and initiatives.
• Learning and Development: Continuously develop skills in data analytics and visualization tools, staying updated with industry trends and best practices. Develop an awareness of evolving tech trends such as AI and explore their application to MCA business.
