As a Data Analyst at Goldstar, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining dashboards, reports, and systems to provide valuable and actionable insights into the business. You will also play a key role supporting the Business Analyst and IT team with the development, implementation, and maintenance of our TMS system and API/EDI interfaces, to ensure seamless data integration.

Salary £28,000 - £32,000per annum


Key responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and optimise dashboards and reports using Power BI, Alteryx, Power Automate, and Cognos to provide actionable insights.

Ensure data accuracy and integrity in reports and dashboards by performing regular data validation and quality checks.

Analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

Collaborate with the Business Analyst to understand reporting requirements and develop data solutions that meet business needs.

Assist in translating business requirements into technical specifications for reports and data models.

Provide ad-hoc data analysis and support for various business units as required.

Assist in the maintenance of our Transport Management Systems, ensuring that they are running smoothly and efficiently.

Support, maintain and assist in the development of API/EDI system interfaces to ensure smooth and efficient connectivity and data flow.

Work with IT and other teams to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in our systems.

Identify opportunities for automation within the data reporting process and implement solutions to reduce manual workload.

Document processes, data flows, and reporting methodologies to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing across the team.

Provide training and support to end-users on how to use dashboards and reports effectively.

Assist in continuously reviewing operational processes for efficiency.


What are we looking for from you to join us:
Experience using data analytics and business intelligence tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power Automate, Power BI.

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables.

Strong analytical thinking with the ability to interpret complex datasets and provide meaningful insights.

Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and quality.

Creative problem solver who can identify opportunities for process improvement.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

An understanding of the transport and logistics industry is desirable.

Understanding of API/EDI connectivity is beneficial but not essential.
