Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst at Liquidline, you will be instrumental in delivering first-class data-driven insights to our stakeholders, ensuring they receive valuable and accurate information that contributes to continuous service improvement across the business. Utilising your expertise in writing SQL and creating user-friendly Power BI reports, you will provide relevant information quickly and accurately assisting stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions. With a strong emphasis on creating reports in Power BI and SSRS, your extensive knowledge of MSSQL databases and proficiency in writing complex SQL queries will be essential. Bringing strong self-organisation, workload planning, and reporting skills, along with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects effectively, your positive, ‘can do’ attitude, combined with a service-driven approach, will enable you to deliver the ‘wow’ factor in your work.

​The Role

  • Working closely with the Head of IT and IT Director to plan, scope and deliver accurate and meaningful insights to stakeholders.
  • ​Gather and analyse large datasets from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • ​Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
  • Writing SQL to meet the objectives and then creating easy to use Power BI reports, with relevant functionality and drill through to allow users to obtain the relevant information quickly and accurately.
  • Seeking opportunities to drive continuous service improvement across the business.
  • ​Perform data cleansing, transformation, and validation to ensure data quality and consistency.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and correlations in data to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
  • Building new system reports using SQL and BIRT report designer and adding to our ERP – Eagle Field Service.
  • Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analytics and visualisation.
  • Determining and defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring every project is set up for success.
  • Closely monitoring project progress, being proactive in removing and blockers swiftly – adjusting as and when needed. 
  • Utilising best practice, techniques and standards throughout entire project executions 
  • Perform risk and issue management, working to resolve any issue proactively both internally and externally. 
  • Using your experience in collaborative working methods.                                    
  • Measuring project performance to identify areas for improvement.

What you will need in the role of Data Analyst 

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a strong emphasis on creating reports in Power BI and SSRS.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of MSSQL databases and proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.  (Essential) 
    Strong self-organisation, workload planning and reporting skills
  • ​Ability to multitask, outlining scope, budget, timeline and delivery of multiple projects. 
  • Experience working closely with a Development team 
  • Tenacious to gets things done and responsive to get things done to deadline
  • Experience in delivering projects from end to end, from discovery, through to definition, development, and continuous optimisation.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders 
  • Ability to embrace change and apply to working practices
