Job Title:  Data Analyst
 
Job Summary: 
The Data Analyst role will work across RevSpring’s products to ingest data for both billing and internal business performance reporting and analysis.  The Data Analyst will work across the company working with ETL developers, our product leaders, finance team and our analytics team to standardize data, ensure data integrity and surface this data in user friendly tools to support standardized reporting as well as data analysis using tools such as PowerBI.
 
Essential Functions:
  • Data Requirements Definition: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document data requirements for populating the Snowflake data store from multiple product databases.
  • Data Standardization: Design and implement processes to standardize and transform data from diverse sources to ensure consistency, quality, and usability within Snowflake.
  • Data Integration: Develop requirements and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various product databases and the internal financial systems into Snowflake.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Build, maintain, and optimize reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analysis tools using PowerBI, leveraging data stored in Snowflake to support business decision-making.
  • Data Quality and Governance: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with organizational standards by implementing validation checks and governance policies.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize Snowflake queries and data pipelines for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, finance teams, and data analysts, to align data solutions with business needs.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines, data models, and reporting processes.
 
Minimum Requirements:
Specific Job Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex data requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Expertise in SQL for querying and transforming data.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and schema design for data warehouses.
  • Experience with Python or another scripting language for data processing.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake features such as Snowpipe, tasks, and streams is a plus.
 
Education: A bachelor's degree in computer or information science
Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms, preferably Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Pentaho, Glue, Apache Airflow, dbt, or similar.
  • Strong experience with business intelligence tools, particularly PowerBI, for creating reports and dashboards.
  • Familiarity with integrating data from financial systems or ERP platforms.
 
Supervision: No
 
Certifications: Certification in Snowflake, PowerBI, or related technologies a plus.
 
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a variety of both internal and external sources.
