An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Analyst to join the Bon Secours Health System, Ireland's largest Private Hospital provider.
Full Time | Specified Purpose Contract
The Data Analyst will work within the Performance Management function to provide Information Analysis which is key to supporting an enhanced performance culture across all Business Units of the Bon Secours Health System.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Information delivery across all business units in the Bon Secours Health System, using Business Objects, Qlik Sense and other BI/Data Visualisation reporting tools as required.
- Assist in the development of appropriate systems and processes to ensure the movement of information throughout the Group which will support an enhanced performance culture.
- Support delivery of BI solutions to the organisation from Business or IT demand and other capitalised channels.
- Foster and develop collaborative working within the Bon Secours Health System by providing a support and advisory service to relevant business users and stakeholders across the organisation in relation to Reporting and Analytics.
- Champion and demo new functionality\data\uses of our BI\DW estate.
- Assist in business requirements gathering and assessment of the impact of business changes on the DW model and BI reporting in general.
- Triage report requests/issues that come into the team via our ticketing system
- Provide forward thinking innovative solutions and identify opportunities to add value to project or internal deliverables.
- Validate data regularly to highlight potential data integrity problems and address data discrepancies and ensure corrective action is taken.
Ideal candidate:
Qualifications:
- 3rd level qualification in Business, Information Technology or associated discipline
- Qualification in data related area (desirable)
Experience:
- Experience in a data/reporting related role
- Experience in data warehouse report building and administration using SAP Business Objects is preferred. Experience with business intelligence (BI) data visualisation tools- such as Qlik Sense (preferred), Power BI, or Tableau- is desirable
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of SQL
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and use their own initiative
- Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage workloads and meet tight deadlines
- Basic knowledge of BI and Data Analytical tools with excellent reporting and business analysis skills (desirable)
- Understanding of the principles of DW ETL design and implementation (desirable)
