Role Summary 

The transformation towards digital OOH demands new processes and tools to improve our implementation, optimization, and reporting capabilities.

This role will receive, diarise, and fulfil incoming data requests from comms planners, in collaboration with the wider Research and Intelligence team. The team is data- and technology-driven, delivering research on OOH trends and reporting the effects of OOH campaigns.

The role will help develop and promote Journeys, Kinetic’s behavioural audience planning productThe data analyst will be responsible for some data updates and troubleshooting. The role will develop and deliver training on usage of the product, and assist Account teams with the planning, reporting, and optimisation of Journeys campaigns as required.

The analyst will also be responsible for transforming data to respond appropriately to channel data requests for media mix modelling or econometrics reporting purposes.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the Data and Account teams to integrate and deploy the “Journeysplanning tool.
  • Creation of BI tools to help streamline company pain points.
  • Assist with and produce Econometrics reporting data to agencies as required.
  • Provide meta-analysis to define best practice, and performance analytics.

 

Specific responsibilities:

  • Creating Journeys brief responses, in support of Journeys platform superusers, providing insights and analysis for accounts team to present back to clients 
  • Working with planning teams to identify requirements, track implementation and roll out
  • Training account planners on Journeys platform and other self-service data products
  • Learn, identify and set best practice for optimising OOH campaigns
  • Generate and analyse advanced daily/weekly/monthly reports and highlight insights
  • Optimise against the performance of these goals
  • Troubleshooting of tracking and set-up issues within the Journeys platform
  • Generation of OOH inputs for econometric reporting for agency contacts
  • Maintenance and support of internal BI tools and products

 

Requirements:

 

  • Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical people inside and outside the organisation.
  • Ability to make complex data analysis clearly understood and useful.
  • Must understand how to prepare and format data for use in business intelligence dashboards.
  • Experience creating and maintaining business intelligence dashboards is required. Experience with Microsoft Power BI Desktop is desired but experience in Tableau, Google Data Studio, etc. would also be valuable.

 

Nice to have:

 

  • Experience writing complex database queries in SQL, including use of geospatial functions, is highly desired. We use Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL and Snowflake, but experience with any flavour of SQL would be valuable.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, will be an advantage.
  • Some experience with scripting in Python, Node/JavaScript, or VBA is desirable.
  • A passion and curiosity in the data and technology space, and an interest in out-of-home advertising, with a desire for continuous learning and innovation.
