Purpose of the Position


Supports and contributes to external business analytics projects and processes to provide data-driven insights used to advise the client and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives. Uses statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis to develop and deploy tools including dashboards, infographics, reports, and models to inform and support decision-making. Mines, processes, and analyzes internal and external data using KPIs, business results, industry sources, competitor intelligence, and customer information. Develops a good understanding of the business's model, objectives, issues, and challenges by interacting and collaborating with users and stakeholders. Incumbent in this role performs the role independently and collaboratively while contributing to moderately complex aspects of a project.


Key Responsibilities


Data Analyst in the lending industry play a vital role in bridging the gap between data and business decisions.



  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various business units (marketing, finance, credit risk, Call Center, Product Eng. etc.) to understand their data needs and analytical requirements.

  • Translate these business requirements, build wireframes, and document them into clear and actionable technical specifications for the data analytics team.

  • Work closely with data analysts and data scientists to ensure the final data analysis projects, reports, or dashboards address the specific needs identified during the requirements gathering phase.

  • Thorough understanding of Analyzing marketing campaigns performance, lead performance, profitability analysis, historical trends, segment borrowers, and all related target marketing campaigns.

  • Work with Finance organization in building loan performance analysis, profitability analysis, historical trends, forecasting & budgeting reports, identify potential risks, assess portfolio health, and other metrics as assigned.

  • Work with credit risk team and data scientists to develop credit scoring models, fraud prevention, risk analytics, ensure regulatory compliance, and identify/mitigate risk models

  • Analyze customer data to Enforce AML/KYC rules, establish data governance, and support regulatory reporting, and audits to align with compliance requirements

  • Analyze user experience, product adoption, understand customer behavior data and integrate data sources to meet product engineering data requirements , loan application process and identify areas of improvement

  • Analyze customer feedback data from call centers to identify areas for improvement in the customer service experience. Analyze call center metrics (call volume, average handle time, resolution rates) to assess call center efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement.


Education and Experience


Required:



  • Bachelor of Arts/Science from an accredited university with major in finance, statistics, or a similar quantitative field. PLUS 4 or more years of work experience conducting analysis & reporting, credit risk analysis, or risk management in the financial services/lending industry.

  • Candidate possesses Intermediate level of skill with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word for preparation of reports and presentation materials.

  • Advanced proficiency with a BI tool (Tableau or PowerBI).

  • Intermediate level experience with SQL and other data manipulation languages in the handling of large datasets. Languages preferred include R, and Python.

  • Knowledge of data modeling and visualization best practices.

Physical Requirements
