Role Title: Business Intelligence Analyst (w/ Supply Chain Specialty preferred)

Location: Stamford, CT

Band: L6

Overview:

This role will play an active and influential role in building Power BI dashboards and driving supply chain analytics forward within Diageo! While the role may not have direct reports, this person is expected to lead/coordinate cross-functional use case development and solution implementation across various functions of the supply chain. The role will be seen as a strategic partner supporting the SCP&L team in driving sustainable business improvement in the areas of inventory, cost & service by automating manual processes through Power BI and other business intelligence tools!

Responsibilities:

  • Creating complex Power BI data models, developing interactive dashboards, and implementing data visualization best practice
  • Understanding key business requirements in the BI context and designing data models to convert raw data to meaningful insights.
  • Designing, developing and deploying Power BI scripts and performing efficient detailed analysis.
  • Creating charts and documenting with algorithms, parameters, models, and relations explanations.
  • Integrating Power BI scripts and performing efficient detailed analysis.
  • Developing technical enhancements, system documentation, and implementing procedures for quality improvement.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience designing and developing technical reporting solutions using various business intelligence tools and technologies including but not limited to Microsoft BI stack.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience across all stages of BI life cycle including system analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, post-production support, maintenance, documentation, and end-user training
  • Extensive experience with Power BI, including creating complex data models, developing interactive dashboards, and implementing data visualization best practice.
  • Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis expressions) and Power Query for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and advanced SQL skills.
  • Expertise in data integration techniques and ETL processes.
  • Excellent analytical abilities to translate business requirements into effective data solutions.
  • Superb communication & collaboration skills - ability to work efficiently with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful business insights.
  • Strong functional knowledge of supply chain.
  • Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions.

Qualifications:

Technical

  • Reporting Tools: Power BI
  • Programming: Python
  • Relational Databases : SQL Server
  • Others: Excel, Power point

Business

  • Strong analytical capabilities including ability to confirm data accuracy.
  • Proactive and effective communication and time management skills
  • Proven influencing skills & ability to hold others to account.
  • Basic end to end supply chain understanding, financial acumen.
  • Ability to deliver all projects and assignments within the specified timelines with accuracy.
  • Ability to work within a fast paced and bold project schedule and environment.

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field.
