Purpose: The Business Analyst Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of daily functions for a Team that provides analytical support of company functions, processes and activities in order to ensure the most effective use of resources and the enhancement of the customer and employee experience. This position collaborates with internal departments to identify business needs, recommend solutions for process improvement, and implement necessary changes based on new system implementation and system updates.

Essential Functions:
- Manages the daily activities of the Analyst Team ensuring workflow is assigned accordingly and responses are timely.
- Manages performance of direct reports and provides above and beyond consistent communication, ongoing coaching, and training opportunities to ensure the staff and Business Analysts have skills and resources to be successful. Responsible for timely completion of performance evaluations of assigned staff. Assists in the training and mentoring of Business Analysts.
- Builds a solid control culture to ensure controls are monitored and documented according to the Bank’s enterprise risk management framework. Communicate new controls to Business Analyst team.
- Evaluates business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
- Leads ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
- Stays up to date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
- Responsible for being a Subject Matter Expert by leading new system implementations, the integration of the back end of system, digital banking, and lines of business with internal and external teams to coordinate, communicate, initiate, and deploy any changes. Tests and validates all changes prior to going live and work with affected parties to ensure successful implementation and deployment.
- Manages the troubleshooting process for system issues to ensure that the Team is responding with effective resolutions in a timely manner.
- Writes, reviews and approves custom work on systems (i.e. statements, system settings, etc.)
- Serves as contact liaison with system vendors and reviews, submits, tracks, and follow ups on all work orders submitted to vendors.
- Leads annual Core Release of updates as well as testing at the end of each year. Manages banking systems along with disaster recovery for Business Analysts and testing for integration. Works with internal parties to coordinate all updates, advising appropriate personnel of procedural changes resulting from new releases, developing new procedural changes and additional documentation matching internal procedures.
- Manages budgets and bills related to vendor relationships.
- Performs requirements analyses and creates/owns Business Requirement Documents (BRD’s)
- Works closely with internal clients, technicians, and managerial staff as well as external vendors and stakeholders.
- Performs user acceptance testing.
- Leverages PMO when appropriate to manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance.

Prior Experience: 10+ years Business Analysis, Data Management or Financial Analysis

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, Business or related field

Prior Experience: 5+ years Business Analysis, Data Management or Financial Analysis in Banking or Financial Industry in a leadership position

- Able to effectively coach, mentor and develop staff in areas of expertise.
- Preference for experience with banking core systems in general. Particular preference for Jack Henry experience.
- Operating in a regulated environment (preferably banking) and managing SaaS providers.
