Vendor Performance Analyst (B&Q Account) - Exciting AT4 role


 


We are seeking a talented candidate to join the B&Q Vendor Performance Team based out of our site in Worksop. You will have a background in Supply Management / Logistics, have an eye for detail, enquiring mind for continuous improvement and be passionate about what you do.

The successful candidate will have a joint reporting line reporting to the Wincanton Network Stock Manager and the B&Q Vendor Performance Manager. Working within a small but focused team influencing its 500+ strong domestic vendor base and or B&Q’s internal Stock Teams behaviors to improve stock availability. Whilst core hours will be between Monday and Friday a flexible approach to working is required to support business needs


 


How will you contribute?


overview and responsibilities -



  • Contribution towards maximising inbound stock availability from B&Q’s 500+ domestic vendor base

  • Dealing with internal and external customers

  • Making and receiving calls and leading conference calls to seek Vendor / Supply Team issue resolution

  • Presenting accurate information to the B&Q Stock teams and Vendors that captures all of their data requirements.

  • Assist in managing, developing and reporting delivery performance, writing Business Object reports and generating reports to provide a clear view of both current and historical performance measured against performance KPIs (service / OTIF performance)

  • Problem solving and root cause identification and corrective action planning

  • Management of cost recovery compensation claims where performance below target and B&Q Stock teams approve action.

  • Demonstrate high standards to achieve clear performance reporting against KPI’s

  • Strive for 100% accuracy in all aspects

  • Hours of work may vary as is necessary to support the contract

  • With some travel to Wincanton sites / Vendor sites and B&Q Head Office


 


What will you bring?



  • Experience of working within a business environment is essential

  • Excellent communication skills combined with logical problem-solving skills

  • Enthusiastic, committed and able to respond positively to changing demands

  • Experience of working in a role where Compliance and Accuracy were key metrics would be a distinct advantage

  • PC Literate, in particular Business Objects / Power BI / Power Automate and excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills 

  • Experience of creating, interpreting and analysing performance information essential

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, working as part of a high-performance team

  • Works to a high standard of detail meeting deadlines, with a good ability to prioritise

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Succeeds in building effective relationships across teams to deliver high, accurate performance

  • Flexible and responds positively and reliably to internal and external customer requirements

  • Hands on approach and to be able to accept and deliver change where necessary
