1113 - Mathematician / Engineering Data Analyst

Monte Sano Research Corporation (MSRC) is a Huntsville-based Small Business specializing in providing full-spectrum defense system engineering, research, design, development, integration, test, evaluation, and planning services to the U.S. Government.

MSRC is seeking technically versatile and intellectually curious candidates to support core survivability analysis of emerging Army missile technologies, contributing to special projects that require innovative thinking and cross-disciplinary exploration.

Applicants must be able to think broadly and connect ideas across domains, must enjoy tackling difficult problems with novel approaches, and must thrive in unstructured problem spaces.

Job Description:

• The candidate will work within a government-owned classified processing space
• The candidate will develop, test, and maintain analytical tools and simulation code in MATLAB, Python, and C++
• The candidate will apply statistical and mathematical techniques to evaluate system performance
• The candidate will participate in high-ambiguity, high-impact special projects that require original approaches
• The candidate must be able to collaborate with experts across domains and clearly communicate complex ideas
• The candidate will report to the lab analysis lead, and will interface regularly with government customers

Education:

• BS in STEM field required (MS preferred)

Job Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in STEM disciplines required
• Self-motivation and self-starter with strong organizational skills required
• Strong mathematics background required
• Familiarity with MATLAB, Python, and C++ required
• Familiarity with both Windows and Linux required
• Ability to work well within a team environment to meet analysis product schedules required
• Strong oral and written communication skills required
• Active Secret security clearance required (Top Secret preferred)
