Job Summary:

The Statistical and Data Analyst supports NHHA’s CalAIM-aligned programs by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to drive program performance, compliance, and continuous quality improvement. This role translates operational, clinical-adjacent, and service delivery data into actionable insights that support contract compliance, grant reporting, and improved client outcomes.

The Analyst plays a key role in strengthening data integrity, monitoring program performance, and supporting evidence-based decision-making across NHHA’s housing, recuperative care, and behavioral health service lines.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection, Management & Integrity

  • Collect, clean, validate, and maintain data across multiple behavioral health and housing service systems
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of client-level, program, and outcome data
  • Maintain and improve data systems, tracking tools, and reporting databases
  • Develop standardized data collection processes aligned with CalAIM, county, and grant requirements
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, confidentiality, and security requirements including HIPAA, PHI, and organizational policies.
  • Statistical Analysis & Program Evaluation
  • Perform descriptive and inferential statistical analyses to evaluate program performance and client outcomes
  • Analyze trends related to housing stability, service utilization, care coordination, and behavioral health indicators
  • Support evaluation of CalAIM services, including Enhanced Care Management (ECM), Community Supports, and recuperative care outcomes
  • Identify disparities, service gaps, and performance trends across programs
  • Develop predictive models, trend forecasts, and risk indicators to support proactive decision-making.
  • Apply statistical modeling techniques to identify drivers of program outcomes.

Reporting, Dashboards & Compliance

  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations for leadership, funders, and county partners
  • Produce recurring CalAIM, DHCS, county contract, and grant reporting deliverables
  • Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for operational decision-making
  • Support audit readiness, compliance reporting, and performance documentation requirements
  • Convert complex data into compelling narratives that support strategic action.

Program Performance & Quality Improvement

· Support continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives · Design and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) · Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend data-driven improvements · Collaborate with leadership to improve service delivery outcomes

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support · Work closely with program directors, operations, case management teams, and external partners · Provide technical assistance on data collection methods, reporting tools, and system improvements · Support grant applications and renewals · Participate in interdisciplinary meetings

Positions Requirements & Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Public Administration, Information Systems, or related field required
  • 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, statistical reporting, business intelligence, or program evaluation
  • Experience working with large datasets and multi-source data systems
  • Experience supporting reporting, dashboards, or funded program deliverables (grant, county, state, or federal preferred)
  • Experience in nonprofit, public sector, healthcare, or similar environments preferred

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL and at least one statistical tool (R, Python, SAS, or SPSS)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and data reporting methods
