Job Description

Position Overview:

This role is part of the Rigid Packaging North American Shared Services group and resides within the Operations Excellence team. This role is the Steward for SAP Manufacturing Data, which includes monitoring, managing and ensuring quality of the data. Additionally, this role works closely with the Cost Accounting Team to set standards and supports plants by interpreting operational cost variances. Successful candidates will have a manufacturing and data analytics background, experience working with SAP manufacturing data and analyzing large data sets, along with high attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Define and maintain standard work for all key processes regarding SAP Manufacturing Data for all Finished Goods and Semi-Finished Goods, including Work Centers, Routings, Production Versions, Bill of Materials and Cost Collectors.
  • Maintain data integrity through analyzing data and creating compliance metrics.
  • Provide training and training guides to plant personnel.
  • Support manufacturing facilities with issue resolution, determining and correcting root cause and training to prevent repeated issues.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly and annual data analysis of master data, labor rates, production rates and BOM details by querying SAP utilizing analysis tools. Use the analysis to provide upload change files to bring data up to date.
  • Assist Cost Accounting team with analysis of product cost and PPV variances.
  • Review Manufacturing Related Engineering Change Notices (ECN) and other change requests to assure accurate manufacturing data relating to SAP routing, BOM, Item Master data.
  • Identify and support business needs and recommend solutions that integrate with existing data and technical solutions.
  • Collaborate and influence others on cross functional teams advancing partnerships to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years’ experience operating within Standard Costing in a Manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing process and corresponding structure and setup in SAP
  • Ability to query, analyze and manage large data sets
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Effective team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, meet strict deadlines and work under pressure
  • Travel 10%
