DescriptionThe Revenue Management Analytics Sr. Data Analyst is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to help improve revenue outcomes, gain a competitive edge over rivals, and provide actionable insights to the Analyst, Manager, and Senior Director teams. They will report to and work closely with their director to automate non-differentiated functions to improve the efficiency of the Revenue Management team and generate exception reporting to identify opportunities.
The starting salary for this role is $80K; commensurate with experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Combine data science with day-to-day execution, helping to solve key problems in the process as well as providing solutions for current methods that lack critical data; work with analysts to identify the greatest areas of opportunity
- Explore data, formulate questions, and deliver insights back to business executives to be prioritized for further testing and exploration
- Recommend, craft, monitor, and report on the effectiveness of test actions in the marketplace. Communicate executable actions based on business and market trends for geographical areas as well as segments
- Utilize skills as a data storyteller, presenting insights with appropriate supporting detail
- Evaluate the accuracy of on-rent, rental, and return forecasts as well as generate new forecasts, utilizing the Cloud (AWS) and Databricks to ensure data is procured in real-time
- Automate the post-mortem process to determine strategy efficacy in key markets for major holidays/events. Identify best practices once enough data has been compiled
- Generate automated exception reporting to identify areas of revenue opportunity, quantify the opportunities, and prioritize by magnitude
- Automate key Revenue Management tasks and reporting, affording market Analysts additional time to spend on more revenue-accretive functions
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; preferably in Statistics, Marketing Analytics, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or Information Engineering
- 2+ years previous experience in revenue management and/or pricing strategy area or a Master’s degree in the relevant subject matter may be accepted in lieu of professional experience
- Ability to collaborate with other teams to solve unique problems
- Strong problem-solving/analytical skills
- Intellectual curiosity and driven to solve complex problems
- Excellent technical skills are required, including advanced SQL, Tableau, and Excel skills.
- Ideally proficient in:
- Statistics and probability experience a plus
- Data mining through Python and R
- Utilize Cloud resources such as S3, Athena, Lambda, Glue ETL and Databricks
- Visualizing data via R, Python
