The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Strategy and Analytics Analyst to join our versatile, and welcoming team. As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for scoping the analysis, cleaning, analysing and interpreting data from a variety of sources, and providing the storytelling and narrative to drive business decisions and strategies.  You might deliver a story – or a decision-making tool for the business to use.  You will collaborate cross-functionally to understand the business question, develop analytical solutions, and train or communicate actionable insights into the business effectively.  You enjoy seeing your work influence how the business is run.  You like resolving complex problems in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment, and are motivated to drive business growth through data.  You are also interested in exploring new data sets that might not be fully productionised yet.

  • Inform both strategic and tactical projects and business initiatives.
  • Own projects, helping the business understand drivers of commercial performance.
  • Inform pricing, product, design and value creation strategies and tactics.
  • Understand the business and champion our customers’ experiences and needs.
  • Help design and report on tests or campaigns via test-control methodologies.
  • Advance and maintain appropriate PowerBI reports and the quality of the data underpinning the team’s analysis.
  • Build and evolve internal data tools that enable automation of forecasting and detailed decision-making.
  • Champion data-driven insights across the organisation to informed better decision-making
  • Work closely with the data, commercial finance and various business teams.
  • Maintain the team’s reputation for diligent work and expand existing members’ skill sets.


Requirements
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in an analytical role. Agency or consulting experience would be complementary in the team.
  • Experience of analysing customer, product, commercial and pricing data.
  • Commercial acumen and experience in driving business value through insights.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Windows stack, inc Excel, PPT, PowerBI, MS SQL, MS Fabric, and ideally R or Python.
  • Ability to handle large and imperfect datasets with an understanding of how to analyse, present and visualise data.
  • Experience of translating data into actionable insights that improve business performance.
  • A natural desire to take the initiative and problem-solve.
  • Curiosity, a drive to learn and the patience to teach where there are gaps in knowledge.
  • An interest in human interactions, how people work, and hospitality.
  • A university degree in a STEM or (quantitative) social sciences subject, economics, or business administration.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
