Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our growing data and analytics team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with underwriting, operations, claims, and finance stakeholders to deliver actionable insights that support business performance and strategic decision-making.

 

The successful candidate will bring proven experience in the (Re)Insurance market, with hands-on experience working with Bordereaux and Delegated Authority data. You will play a key role in transforming complex data into meaningful analysis, improving data quality, and developing reporting solutions that drive operational efficiency and commercial outcomes.

 


We offer flexible/hybrid working and you will be expected in our London City office twice a week.

 

 

How you'll make an impact

 

  • Analyse and interpret large, complex datasets to provide business-critical insights and recommendations.
  • Work with Delegated Authority and Bordereaux data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Power BI.
  • Write and optimise complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyse data from multiple sources.
  • Support the development and enhancement of data models, reporting frameworks, and analytical solutions.
  • Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, finance, and operational teams to understand business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Work with cloud-based data platforms, including Azure Data Lake, to support modern data architecture and analytics capabilities.
  • Identify data quality issues and implement controls and improvements to enhance data integrity.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on (Re)Insurance data structures, reporting requirements, and market best practices.

 

 

About you

 

 

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Senior Data Analyst within (Re)Insurance market is essential.
  • Extensive knowledge of Bordereaux and Delegated Authority business processes and datasets.
  • Advanced SQL skills with the ability to write, troubleshoot, and optimise complex queries.
  • Hands-on experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Experience working with Azure Data Lake and cloud-based data environments.
  • Fantastic analytical, problem-solving, and data visualisation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Experience translating business requirements into meaningful analytical solutions.
  • Experience within the London Market insurance environment.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, or master data management principles.
  • Exposure to Azure Synapse, Data Factory, or other Azure analytics services.
  • Understanding of underwriting, claims, exposure management, or reinsurance reporting processes.
