Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Sr. Data Analyst, (IROCC) will lead the analytical support on highly sensitive and Legally Privileged investigations across Walmart.  This is a global role that works closely with Global Investigations and Walmart legal to develop analytical models used in the investigative process.  The candidate will be able to process data from disparate data platform, build and support dashboards (BI/Tableau) to deliver the most relevant analytical tool in support of the investigative mandate.  In addition to investigative support, the Sr. Data Analyst will work closely with various investigative bodies to develop proactive data models to spot fraud and risk across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills with an ability to clearly communicate complex technical matters to all levels of Walmart leadership.

Based in Bentonville, AR (no hybrid or remote options).

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Producing clear and impactful data models in support of highly sensitive cases.

  • Processing large amounts of data for statistical modelling and analysis.

  • Providing process gap remediation recommendations to Walmart leadership.

  • Understanding analytical tools such as Power BI, DataIku, Tableau Prep, Alteryx.

  • Demonstrating a strong SQL background with experience pulling data from Big Query and SQL servers.

  • Using your communication skills to explain complex technical information in a simple manner.

  • Building strong relationships across Walmart.

  • Being curious, working with partners in legal and global Investigations to develop risk spotting tools.

  • Multitasking and using good judgement in prioritization of tasks.

You’ll sweep us off our feet if…

  • You have strong knowledge of mathematics particularly statistics.

  • You have a strong sense of Urgency.

  • You have the ability to code using Python and have working knowledge of SQL and at least one of the following: Python, VBA, etc.

  • You have a proven track record to solve problems through mathematical and deductive reasoning.

  • You are familiar with implementing, testing, or evaluating performance of digital crime and detection systems.

  • You have a strong technical background and have worked in an investigative environment.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field. Option 2: Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Option 3: 4 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
