We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, friendly and supportive Senior Data Analyst to join the Reporting team based in Syston.

The role will work as part of the Compass Commercial Team covering all childcare services (Foster Care, Residential and Education), focused on improving existing excel models and reports as well as creating new reporting via excel modelling working closely with other areas of the business to support with enhancing the reporting to aid with business processes.

To be successful in the role candidates are expected to have an excellent level of excel capability and strong attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

  • Business partnering a number of business department leads to define requirements for new reports, understand processes and how these impacts reports as well as develop current reports within the business.
  • Working with other teams to ensure that no misalignment of reports across the business.
  • Completion of monthly management information across all childcare services (Foster Care, Residential and Education) within month end deadlines
  • Refining and further developing sustainable management information in a simple end user friendly way
  • Preparation of Customer Information packs for customer relationship meetings between operations and Local Authorities
  • Preparation of placement viability and competitor analysis for potential areas of new homes
  • Shared responsibility in managing the Commercial inbox, supporting and communicating with various business department leads.

Essential

  • Excellent numerical skills excel capability including excel model building
  • Attention to detail of data inputting and data collation and analysing of trends and data.
  • Ability to work on own initiative through effective time management
  • Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills with colleagues and other stakeholders – working in collaboration with others.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and development of the service.
  • Ability to participate and function professionally in meetings.
  • Commitment to the behaviours and values recognised by the company in relation to integrity, honesty, reliability and compassion.

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience using VBA / SQL
  • Experience in PowerBI and / or Power Automate
  • Have a strong understanding of public sector commissioning and how this works with Independent Fostering Providers, Residential Children’s Homes and Education provisions.
